How the bonus bar tab works

Plenty of venues on Partystar add a bonus bar tab to your function. It's worth $50, $100 or $200 depending on the venue, and the amount is shown on the venue's listing before you enquire.

Why venues can offer it

We connect you straight to the venue and take no commission on your booking.

On other directories the venue hands over 10 to 15% of what you spend. Ours keep it, and plenty of them put some of it back into your night.

How to qualify

Two things. Send your first enquiry to the venue through Partystar, then meet whatever the venue has set as its requirement.

That requirement is one of the following, and it's shown on the venue's page:

  • Paying the hire charge
  • Reaching the minimum spend
  • Reaching the minimum guest numbers

If you contacted the venue directly first and came through Partystar afterwards, the tab doesn't apply.

When you get it

On the night. The venue loads the amount onto the tab you're already running, and your guests draw from it like any other bar tab.

If you don't meet the requirement

Your function still goes ahead. You just don't get the bonus.

So if the venue's minimum spend is $1,500 and the night comes in at $1,100, everything runs as normal and the tab isn't added.

Which venues offer one

Most do, though it varies a lot by city and by suburb. Every venue that offers a tab shows it on its listing, along with the amount.

Browse venues by city to see what's on offer where you're looking.
