Partystar Review

The Arcadia Hotel, located on the corner of Punt and Toorak Roads in South Yarra, is one of Melbourne's oldest hotels. With a mixture of rich history and modern refurbs, Arcadia has been creating memories for generations.

Whether it's enjoying a couple of cold ones over a game of pool, indulging in a delectable meal on the Rooftop Garden, or cheering on your team as they play on the big screen; this beloved hotel is a chameleon establishment, adapting to your every whim.

Outdoor Area / Beer Garden

The Rooftop Garden is superb.

Live Music Venue

Live music can be found here most nights.

Second Opinion

About as un-South Yarra as you can possibly get, the Arcadia keeps pulling in the crowds where many others have failed. Bands will often play here, which means a bit of fun dancing for the girls, while the guys go off and do the pool and video games thing. Perfect: a pub for everyone!

Tried a variety of pubs in the area but once I started heading to arc I couldn't stop.
Reasons:
1) Comfy couches.
2) Quality pool tables and cues
3) Smoking room with heaters for the cold nights & air con for the hot ones.
4) Cover bands on Friday and Saturday night.
5) Very friendly, attractive bar staff.
6) Video Games.
7) Upstairs (when its open - usually sat night) gives off a cool club vibe with DJ.
8) Pretty good prices, competitive with other pubs in the area - god knows its cheaper than any night out clubbing.
9) All in all a solid night out, great place to unwind.

The Arcadia is a great pub if you're 19 and love cover bands. Very popular on a Friday and Saturday night; if you're a couple of years out of high school and live in the inner south-east, the Arcadia is where its at for a big night of dancing, drinking, and the odd game of pool.

One of the best pubs in Melbourne. Awesome live music, pretty much every night. Fantastic cover bands every saturday night. Packed with ex-private school boys and girls. A very young and friendly environment, never any fights. Bouncers are friendly. Drinks are reasonably priced and a comparitively cheaper night out compared with a nightclub, even though there is a nightlcub feel upstairs.

Pool tables supurb, great felt, even roll and good straight cues. Friendly and hot barstaff. Nice and clean and by the end of this year, will be one of the first pubs to have a fully incorporated smokers area/bar. Definitely worth going here, especially if you aren't here to cause trouble.

After searching through multiple pubs/bars on MelbournePubs we decided to give Arcadia a whirl on Saturday night - definitely worth it! We got straight in, no cover charge and by the end of the night was packed. Guys please note: be early (after midnight there was a huge queue). Drinks reasonably priced, dance floor downstairs and if there's no function going on another dance floor upstairs. Pool tables and big screen TV for sports fans. Friendly crowd.
