Most Southgate places are more geared towards eating, but at BearBrass the emphasis is definitely more on having an informal beer; and it's this selling point that attracts most of the people strolling along the river.

The look is certainly of an upmarket bar, and the beer range reflects this. Although the accessibility and popularity won't scare anybody in search of a quick drink. Just waltz in and head to that bar.

Our tip: We can think of no better spot to meet one's friends.

How about sunshine, clinking glasses, strolling people, boats, the Yarra, and a view of Flinders Street Station with your beer?
