The Peel is gloriously LGBTI focussed. Its front room with long bar and array of funky ceiling lamps looks like it's inside a genie's den. Beyond that there is an inviting chill-out room complete with fireplace, chandelier, comfy couches and daggy oil paintings.

Those who want a bit more excitement head to the big dance area, where a tiered stage elevates confident groovers.

A nearby pool room with a couple of computer games adds yet another dimension to this large, multi-faceted club.

The Peel is definitely considered the Queen of gay clubs in Melbourne and for a number of valid reasons. The club has two bars with gorgeous and polite bartenders mixing drinks, a spacious dance floor full of beautiful hot men of all ages and their groupies pumping their moves to house/pop/RnB/charts/old school music, a large outdoor smoking area and two sections with couches and a pool table to relax with friends and to have a break from dancing. The club is aimed for the gay community and has a friendly, anything goes vibe with straight women/men being welcomed with open arms. If you want an action packed night full of drinking, dancing, friendly company to the wee hours of the morning then The Peel is definitely an option to consider when partying in Collingwood.
