An architectural renovation has breathed fresh air into this long-time art deco local. The large front bar beckons you to pull up a stool, while upstairs has more of a speakeasy feel, complete with smaller nooks and crannies and intricate wall furnishings.

Steering away from the cliched celebrity chefs and gastro pub hoopla, the food on offer is modern yet dependable.

The Prahran Hotel aims to be everything to everyone, and we think they have succeeded.
