Should you be lucky enough to find it, the Melbourne Supper Club is a real gem.

It's the perfect meeting place for a glass of red and luxurious conversation. (Not the type of place you want to rush in and out of). Cosy weathered chesterfield sofas, polished floorboards, jazzy music and staff that ooze class... virtually guarantee you won't be leaving in a hurry.

Who goes there? Hmm, good question. Generally the venue attracts quite an eclectic mix of people most nights. (We've discovered Fri nights to be more popular with the suited variety.) Smart casual - dressy will get you feeling the part. And be warned... they are fantastically busy late Fri/Sat nights.

If your heart yearns for a more sophisticated venue... where you can actually HEAR the person you're getting to know, AND you're attracted to presenting at your coolest, then Melbourne Supper Club is absolutely worth looking at.

And on that point, you never know who you might meet!

The rooftop area called Siglio is full of fresh air and great views.

This is one of the best bars around and would have to have one of the best wine lists in the country. Stunning views, great service and detail to attention is what makes this place. Definitely worth a visit, especially if you are from another state or country.

It is truly a lovely space, with one of the best views from its circular window - right across to parliament and St Pats. However, it is expensive. If you can put up with that for the views, then go.
