Lovely little suburban pub that imparts that real local Fitzroy feeling. The one, large room is cosy, warm and comfortable. We were impressed by the friendliness of the patrons, some of which were amusing themselves with a friendly round of cards. Although, this was on a quiet night. Go on a Friday night and the place will be packed to the rafters.

A small pub, but quality. The early closing time here can be painful.

The Labour In Vain has to rate as one of the warmest and friendliest little bars in Melbourne. And I went to a few. Laid-back, relaxed, and very low-key local. Quiet earlier in the afternoon. Just what you need to restore equilibrium.Then the band came on 5pm - 7pm Sunday evening. Packed. Jumpin! Smiles wall to wall.

Really cosy pub with a warm welcome perfect for chilling out in after a hard day. Pool table if you're the sporting type.
