Dodging the crowd of sidewalk sippers on balmy Friday evenings always had us wondering what goes on here, and we finally discovered the secret. Close to several city nightspots, theatres and restaurants, the Imperial is the perfect place to kick off a big night (or end a big week). For footy goers also, the roomy Imperial is ideally located, so that punters can down a couple pre-game and then waltz through the Treasury Gardens to the MCG. In inclement conditions, they can choose to stay put and watch all the action on the big screen. Tasty counter meals are available, as well as several beers on tap.

Outdoor Area / Beer Garden

A mini beer garden out on the pavement is standing room only during the warmer months, but the cream of the crop is the rooftop which is partially covered and partially open-air, to take in the city skyline.
