As spiritual home to some iconic Australian bands including Frenzal Rhomb and The Whitlams, the demise of the former version of these premises was felt sorely by locals. There were rallies, fundraisers and famous faces trying to keep Sandringham Hotel afloat but alas she could not be saved.

As lovers of live music mourned, fans of mini golf teed off with chequered pants and smiles on their faces. Holey Moley was born in 2017 and incorporates booze with bunkers and cocktails with holes-in-one.
