This corner pub next to the Richmond fire station is as cruisy as you'd want - emphasis gets placed on the essentials of flowing beer and a good time. In fact, being one of the rare corner pubs in Richmond, Station 59 still caters for friends coming down enjoying a game of darts or pool. It pulls a nice, mixed crowd and is possibly one of the last horseshoe bars in Melbourne that promotes socialising without the the background blare of harness racing.

Our tip: a good one for functions.

Station 59 is starting to feel like my home away from home. The beer is cold and being poured for me as I walk to the bar. They have a great function area and soon will have a beer garden. The staff and locals are all delightful and there is always someone up for a game of pool.
