Partystar Review
Late opening upmarket but personal pub meets bar that prides itself on the food to the one side but doesn't do too badly on the bar side either. As you know, we don't get in to dining much, but rest assured there's a bar stool with your name on it available in the front section.
There's a definite international twist to the bar - some interesting beers, not to mention tequilas we'd never seen before.
There's a touch of love and dedication in this venue, we say.

Boozy Rouge is a Richmond icon, the product of a hospitality team which has brought its eclectic style to several Melbourne venues. The glam backdrop will make any catchup or solo experience memorable.

My family and I visited a week before Christmas, so obviously the place was jam packed. The decor is cosy and elaborate, definitely a good talking point for first dates. The service was maintained throughout the night, although our waiter was a little pompous, drinks were mostly replenished quickly and he had a good knowledge of the menu. My main qualm would be that I ordered the pasta marinara. It was bland and the seafood was well over cooked. That being said my family ordered the pork, chicken and duck mains, which were delicious and of generous sizes. The tapas were yumo too.
I suggest this restaurant bar on a cold winter's day. Perfect place to cosy up with a red wine or pint and tuck into winter style food.

Took the Family (13) for Mother's day lunch.
The Food, Staff and Service were superb!
We were upstairs which has a nice bar and a seperate lounge.
As a chef, it was nice to see the care they put into each dish.
Everyone with us loved the food and the friendly staff.
A real find amongst the standard fare in Bridge Road!

My partner and I recently decided to check Bouzy Rouge for a romantic dinner. From the outside it looks small and cosy, but we were surprised at the size of the place - the restaurant continues down the side and out the back to the delightful courtyard. It seats a few people but without losing any atmosphere. The staff were fantastic - professional yet friendly. The food was delicious - not cheap but we didn't mind paying for a great meal with great wine, service and atmosphere. They don't have many vegetarian options but hey - it is Portuguese cuisine, and with the range of tapas, mains and sides there was enough there. Definitely the place for a romantic dinner, drinks after work, or a special dinner with friends.
