Partystar Review
Operating since the start of the century, this is one of Melbourne’s best kept secrets. It is where new world Melbourne meets old world Asia. A bit like China Town itself, where Manchuria is located.
The cocktails are delicious and it is a great spot to get away from the bustle of the city.

Romantically dim with a touch of sophistication in the air, a great place to take someone special for a quiet drink or to hang out with friends. Each section is subtly different with plush lounges and beautiful Chinese-inspired wooden screens for intimacy.
Saturday saw a mixed crowd enjoying the Latino-flavoured music beneath the hubbub, on a weekday it is quiet with classic jazz that sets a perfect background for relaxed conversation.
Impressive selection of delectable cocktails, very friendly and knowledgeable bar staff, though service can be a bit slow when it gets busy, but the Mojito is definitely worth the wait!

This is a lovely place. Great for an after work drink. You feel like you're in another world when you step into Manchuria. There are sectioned off areas which you can take over with your friends and you feel like your in your own lounge room, albeit if you had an unlimited budget! The bar staff are great, chatty and helpful when it comes to selecting a glass of wine. But really, the gin and tonics are the best!

Dimly lit and cosy bar without intrusive music makes it great for chilling out. It's perfect for intimate conversation as it has several individual booths divided by gorgeous Chinese-inspired wooden screens. The cocktails are very impressive, if I dare say so.
