Rustic looking laneway bar up an unmarked staircase next to a small 'Murmur' sign in Warburton Lane. You may hear the dulcet tones of a piano, as this place is a piano bar. A short climb reveals a single room with dark furnishings and floor. First impressions come across as dark, heavy medieval/rustic chairs and tables with ornate furnishings such as mirrors and candles. Certainly a welcome break from the second hand couches.
Busy mainly towards end of week and weekends, Murmur tends to do well with the corporate and after work crowd. However, as expected, once post-work drinks die down, the sophisticated bar hoppers emerge.
Murmur's delightfully different to most trendy city bars. Given its old world charm, a Thursday or Friday drink here with your colleagues can't go wrong.

Readers' Reviews
Hidden away so not main stream enough for idiots to attend. Awesome drinks menu made for a very talkative night.
