Bright, clean pub with a British feel. Polished floorboards, white walls, and generally always a crowd about. Patrons are predominantly mid to older, often there to sample the food from the large dining area that stretches off to both sides of the main bar area. A large range of beers is offered, and a secret, smoky TAB is tucked away through a side door.

The venue now has a clean modern feel, yet we have kept all the cool features such as the old bar and ceiling detail. There is a massive beer garden that is airy and fresh, and a rooftop bar that looks across over the city. It's north facing and is great in summer. The sports bar is a sports lover's paradise, and the menu short but effective.

Bells is a beer drinker's paradise.. half a dozen beers brewed on site and some seasonal varieties to round it out. Wow! What a difference a bit of care can make to the beer drinking experience. We sat down for a quiet couple in the afternoon with the handy tasting notes menu, and couldn't leave until we'd sampled them all (some required a second tasting!) All up, a modern venue with food to match too - without being for snobs.
