Partystar Review
Giant club set over two floors with an oriental theme that's pulled off quite well - you see, previously it used to be Chung On Restaurant and some of the feel remains. It's targeted to the younger generation to some degree and we'd say it's definitely worth a visit if in the area.
Our tip: no runners.

Deluxe dress code has relaxed a LOT since first opening, but would still dress to impress. Great looking crowd with upstairs being filled with 18-25yo and DJs playing commercial house. Downstairs was a little older, but seemed to be rocking retro and top 40 music.

I've been to this place on a Friday and Saturday. I would prefer Saturday then Friday as it is filled with more people. It's for ages between 18-25. You may see older people but very rarely. The seating is perfect, you will always find a seat to sit down. This place is very different to other place as it's got a restaurant feel to it as it use to be one which i find was very cool to hear. I find upstairs becomes more full then downstairs as the younger crowd go up there for the Crazy music. As the venue gets full the music becomes louder which is mad. I will say lately the place has been a little too packed because of a competition going on but other then that it's a pretty cool place to be on a Saturday night.

Downstairs has a nice loungy feel to it and up stairs has been renovated quite nicely, with a separate smoking area built on so you don't have to go outside, two bars and a decent sized dance floor.
The DJs there are great ! playing all styles of house commercial, electro, progressive, personally I've ditched the city to go here a couple of times because the DJs are up to date with there music.
Age group is a mixture between 18-25 from what I've seen.

The Chinese theme is well carried with the old Chung On Restaurant's decor tricked up with some awesome new bars and dance floors. The upstairs area is by far the highlight for me. As you walk up the well polished staircase, you find yourself in one of two large open spaces, with some private corners and mega comfortable seating. If you can coax yourself out of the chairs, you're dancing on the floor surrounded by more Chinese decor. The pumping music is definitely worth a listen, definitely not too shabby, but every now and then you cop a bad night where songs just clash.
In terms of demographic, being so new this club has yet to find its key group. The drinks are well priced, and admission is free - making it ideal for under 25s, but the dress code, and the layout seem to suit the higher ages, lending itself well to the late 20s/early 30s age groups. It's also hard to predict the crowd that you will get. Being 19, some nights I just feel way too young, others, it suits really well.
