The Colonial in many ways blends traditional pub with modern bar and beyond. With so many different levels, its popularity begins at lunch, right through till dinner, clubs nights in the evening (for example Brown Alley) through till rooftop parties in the early morning. A 24-hour licence makes all of it possible.

Readers' Reviews
The Colonial Hotel on Thursday nights is one of my favourite places to be. Thursday nights hosts a range of alternative music including metal/hardcore, punk, ska, screamo and lots more! There are always plenty of new and interesting people to meet, particularly when standing in line for the toilets. Next usually parties on until 5 or so in the morning which always leaves the option of catching the first train home. Definitely a must for anyone who is into alternative music and cheap drinks!
