Picture this: a tree-lined street in beautiful Balmain, a heritage-listed hotel, friends, fine food, good drinks and everything you need. It could be a meditation mantra. It's also Riverview Hotel, which sprang up during the 19th Century Balmain pub boom and remains steadfast.

As part of Balmain's industrial beginnings, Riverview has seen its fair share of controversy and colourful characters but has shed any shadiness to emerge as a stylish eatery and pub. Cocktail nights, bottomless bubbles nights, 2-for-1s and other delightful temptations are on their calendar.
