About the function space
The Occidental is one of Sydney's oldest surviving hotels, and the Fairmont Function Room sits on its first floor with that history built right into the walls. The building dates back to 1850, Victorian Regency style, Heritage listed, and one of only five of its kind still standing in the city.
The room has its own fully stocked bar and comes with audio and visual equipment included, so the basics are covered. It handles a wide range of events well: trivia nights, birthdays, Christmas parties, hens and engagement parties, team-building sessions, conferences, and sit-down dinners.
A short walk from Wynyard Station, easy to reach from anywhere in the CBD, and with two bars downstairs for before or after, we think it's a winner.
