About the function space
The Occidental is a cozy and welcoming period hotel right in the heart of Sydney's Central Business District. It's on the corner of York and Erskine Street, and you'll find public transport right outside.
The spacious function room has everything you need, including a bathroom, superb AV equipment and a fully stocked bar. There is plenty of seating. Both high and normal tables are provided.
The maximum capacity of the room is: sit-down events 80 people, or cocktail-style events 120 people.
The function rooms is most commonly booked for: Birthdays, Christmas parties, cocktails, conferences, business meetings, full restaurant style lunch and dinner. We love events, so let us help you plan something special.

Children are only permitted to attend the function if the function includes a sit-down meal.
Lunch functions can be held 12pm-5pm.

Underage guests are permitted until close (1am), providing the underage guest is in the company of a responsible adult who is responsibly supervising them. One separate responsible adult per each underage guest.
