About the function space

Constructed in 1889 and situated on the former site of a major Melbourne police station, the Royal Melbourne Hotel blends historical features with modern architecture and convenience.

At the heart pf RHM is the ground floor Atrium, a stunning glass-enclosed space offering a spacious and relaxed ambience.

It has an exclusive courtyard with heating and cover, making alfresco cocktails a must for your soiree.

We make a lot of our function food in-house, but can also source your catering requirements if need be.

With a large capacity and facilities to accommodate any kind of event, the sky (or shall we say glass ceiling) is the limit.

When your party concludes your celebrations can continue until the early hours, with our DJs and club vibe.

Functions can start earlier.

If you have over 200 guests we will open an additional bar in the courtyard.

A special club night commences in the Atrium at 9pm Saturdays. You are welcome to remain in the venue for an additional $10 per head, discounted from the usual price of $25 per head. All your guests get the discounted price regardless of what time they arrive.

You may also head upstairs to the Heritage Room after 12am for a change of scene.

Underage policy

Underage guests are permitted until 10pm, providing the underage guest is in the company of a responsible adult who is responsibly supervising them. One separate responsible adult per each underage guest.
