About the function space

Oozing with character and charm, the heritage listed Lord Alfred is a truly iconic pub, and does functions well.

Our housemade food is A1, and our facilities and staff make us a very popular choice for parties.

Squires Bar is a lovely area with plush furnishings, booth seating and plenty of mingling and partying space. It lights up gorgeously for a cocktail or banquet style function.

A separate timber floored area makes the perfect space for a dance floor and there is also a large bar stocked with all your favourite drinks.

If there is also a function on in the adjacent Lounge Bar, there will be sectioning at the far end. If the Lounge is vacant then you get the bar and staff all to yourselves.

Located on the north-eastern end of the Caxton Street entertainment precinct, LA has public transport and Suncorp Stadium right nearby. It is indeed a great place to have a party.

Underage policy

Underage guests are permitted until 10pm, providing the underage guest is in the company of a responsible adult who is responsibly supervising them. One separate responsible adult per each underage guest.

Seasonal surcharges

On public holidays there is a 15% surcharge. In November and December, Friday and Saturday booking will attract room hire and will require an initial deposit of $1000 prior to the event.
