About the function space
The Doutta Galla Hotel is the perfect venue to hold your next private function. With ample free parking adjacent to the hotel, Newmarket train station across the road and the West Maribyrnong tram right outside, the location is convenience plus.
The Magnolia function space is the ultimate party room, and is completely exclusive. The decor is old-world but modern with all the trimmings. Chandeliers and textured wallpaper in rich colours set the scene.
You will enjoy a private bar with the experienced Doutta Galla Hotel staff serving an extensive range of spirits, beers and wines at great prices.
Experience the bar and main lounge area, perfect for welcome drinks, or any drinks for that matter. To the left of the bar is the main party room complete with screen, where you can dance the night away only steps away from your next drink. There is also another chillout room past that for relaxing weary feet, or for gifts, nibbles or whatever suits your function.
The venue also offers a range of finger food platters, all made onsite by our in house chefs and served fresh to your guests by the friendly staff.

On weekends you may head downstairs after your party and enjoy the DJ until 3am.

Underage guests are permitted until 10pm, providing the underage guest is in the company of a responsible adult who is responsibly supervising them. One separate responsible adult per each underage guest.

Guests have full access to the CrowdDJ kiosk system, which allows guests to upload their own Spotify lists into the venue's Nightlife system and into your party. The Nightlife system can also be restricted to playlists or genres, and guests can access it and choose songs on the night. It is not coin operated and is free to use for functions.
Alternatively you may choose songs on the night from crowdDJ. The entire music system is set up by qualified music directors so is great quality.
With full access to the projector, you are able to see the latest film clips, special photos of loved ones or have your business logo featured for a corporate function.
After your function, head downstairs to the Doot's party zone with a DJ playing Top 40, commercial dance and some retro until 3am.
