Life has been a century-long rollercoaster for this old corner pub, especially the past couple of decades. Flinders fell victim to Sydney’s 2014 lockout laws and through lack of patronage closed its doors in 2015. Sometimes change and reinvention are a good thing though, and behind its boarded-up doors Flinders was getting ready to emerge anew as a butterfly.

It did so almost two years later, with sticky floors and grungy furniture replaced by a modern fit out, a fresh cocktail menu and excellent live music and DJ capabilities. These days it has a more well-rounded appeal and lots of late-night events on the calendar including house, disco and tech.
