Melbourne punters rejoice with more easing of restrictions

From Friday more Melbournians were allowed on dance floors, as Covid restrictions dropped back to their most relaxed in more than a year. The patron cap was lifted to 75 per cent of capacity and a dance floor rule restricting dancers to 50 people has been lifted. Also if you prefer socialising at home you can now have 100 people at your house. So what are you waiting for? Get mingling.

Radium is where it’s at – Hawthorn, VIC

This quirky hole-in-the-wall bar is themed after a 1920s manufacturing and advertising phenomenon. (Look it up, thank me later) It focusses mainly on fabulous cocktails and craft drinks, with a very decent wine selection.

And some serious party crew. Hold your next soiree here, and have all the trimmings – heated beer garden, bar, right opposite the train station.

This hidden gem is great spot to have a celebration, with wood and leather bar stools, bench seating, and your very own bar.
