About the Venue

PJ O'Brien's Side Bar brings to Southgate an upmarket bar, lounge and dining venue which will entice those who enjoy premium service, product and ambience.

Side Bar has a classic yet contemporary fitout with dark wood panelling featuring an Oyster Bar set into the marble bar top.

Side Bar's catering menu includes freshly shucked oysters, tapas, quality wines, beers, spirits and cocktails.

The Lower Lounge is perfect for stand up (up to 100 people) or sit down (up to 50 people) private and corporate events such as Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Cocktail Parties, Oyster Afternoons and Christmas Events. The venue can be completely closed off for private functions.

Additional informationAll functions are required to spend at least $25 per guest on food. The minimum spend figure above has been based on the minimum of 60 guests.

60 guests x $25 = $1500 minimum food spend
80 guests x $25 = $2000 minimum food spend
100 guests x $25 = $2500 minimum food spend

There is no minimum required spend on drinks.
Increased rates applyNovember & December: All functions are required to spend at least $25 per guest on food and $40 per guest on drinks. Therefore for the minimum 60 guests the combined minimum spend is $3900.
