Situated on the first floor of the hotel (stair access only), the Plantations Bar can cater for a group of 30 or a group of 300. Recently renovated within the last
18months, the split level room features wide verandas opening outside and a polished wooden deck overlooking the public Park Bar area.
This room has been utilised for a wide array of functions including birthday parties, wedding receptions, cocktail networking evenings and boardroom meetings. The entertainment options available in this room include; utilising the hotel's Nightlife music system, piping through live entertainment played elsewhere in the hotel, connecting your own decks and/or iPod through our sound mixer, bringing in
outside entertainment such as a DJ, jukebox or soloist, playing CDs and/or DVDs through our projection screen and plasma TVs, as well as a microphone and stand should you wish to make any speeches or special announcements.
Use of the Plantations Bar incurs a room hire fee of $500 however this charge will be waived if a total spend of $5000 is reached. There is a minimum spend of $1500 throughout the year which increases to a minimum spend of $8000 during November and December as these dates are classed as peak times.
The Pineapple Hotel house policy stipulates that all 21st birthday functions must be held in the Plantations Bar to ensure maximum control and security to both staff and patrons. All 21st birthday functions will also incur a $200 security fee to cover the costs of security.
